Djakhangir Khaydarov, Clarinet

Haojie Jiang is a young baritone active on both opera and concert stages. As an emerging opera artist, he has received professional training and performed extensively with the Florida Vocal Program and Milnes Voice Studio, and has appeared in multiple opera productions at the Miami Music Festival. He was also invited as a guest soloist by the Urban Life Channel of Tianjin Television, where he presented a solo vocal concert broadcast live on television.
On the operatic stage, Jiang has portrayed a wide range of baritone roles, including appearances in Puccini’s Turandot and La Bohème. His repertoire further includes Simone and Betto in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and Dr. Dulcamara in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. He has also performed the role of the Podestà in Bizet’s Le Docteur Miracle, and in 2025 he is scheduled to appear as Zurga in Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles.
In French repertoire, Jiang has appeared in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, performing multiple baritone roles including the Tree, Chair, and Clock. He has also portrayed the baritone role of Simone in Debussy’s cantata L’enfant prodigue.
In addition to Western operatic repertoire, Jiang is deeply committed to the performance and promotion of Chinese art and folk songs. He has presented these works in concerts across multiple cities in the United States, introducing Chinese vocal traditions to international audiences and receiving wide acclaim.
As a pedagogue, Jiang is an experienced voice teacher and maintains a private vocal studio. He has successfully guided numerous students toward admission to well-known music conservatories and universities.
Beyond his musical career, Jiang founded Shanghai’s first “Music Forest Ranch”, which received exclusive coverage by China Daily, and he maintains long-term interdisciplinary collaboration and research partnerships with the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Jiang earned his Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music in 2024. In the same year, he began doctoral studies in vocal performance at Stony Brook University, where he also serves as an undergraduate voice instructor.
